Cradle to Cradle Book
Cradle to Cradle: Remaking the Way We Make Things, was written by chemist and process engineer Prof. Michael Braungart and architect William McDonough, and published in 2002.
Since then, the book has been translated into six other languages: Chinese, Dutch, German, Hungarian, Italian and Spanish.

The book introduces 'Cradle to Cradle Design' to the public, and the English version is itself an example of a "Cradle to Cradle" product: Developed by innovative book packager Charles Melcher of Melcher Media, the book is a prototype of a "technical nutrient"; It is printed and bound on "synthetic" paper made of plastic resins and inorganic fillers designed to be broken down and circulated infinitely in "technical cycles"---re-made into "paper" or other products.
Below is a sample of editorial reviews at Amazon.com:
"…A manifesto calling for a new industrial revolution, one that would render both traditional manufacturing and traditional environmentalism obsolete…It's a handbook for 21st-century innovation and should be required reading for business hotshots and environmental activists."
--Therese Littleton, Amazon.com
"[A] clear, accessible manifesto...the authors' original concepts are an inspiring reminder that humans are capable to much more elegant environmental solutions than the ones we've settled for in the last half-century."
--Publishers Weekly
"[McDonough and Braungart's] ideas are bold, imaginative, and deserving of serious attention."
--Ben Ehrenreich, Mother Jones magazine
"A readable provocative treatise that 'gets outside the box' in a huge way. Timely and inspiring."
--Kirkus Reviews
"…With this book, McDonough and Braungart open our eyes to the way to genuine sustainability by the study of nature and mimicking her ways. This is a groundbreaking book that should be the Bible for the Second Industrial Revolution."
--Dr. David Suzuki, Professor Emeritus, University of British Columbia
