CPC-concrete elements are robust and lightweight, but highly resilient. They are easy to install and durable. They are based on “carbon prestressed concrete” technology, which emerged from a long-standing research project and has now been launched on the market. Numerous reference projects have already proven the efficiency and sustainability of this approach. The filigree yet resilient panels are suitable for numerous applications in construction and landscaping, e.g. as footbridges and cycle paths, balcony tiles, stairs, floor tiles, façade elements or even for concrete furniture.
CPC-plates are reinforced with thin, prestressed carbon strands. Since carbon has a high tensile strength and does not rust, it can be used to produce particularly slim yet sturdy concrete slabs. Unlike conventional reinforced concrete panels, there is no need for the usual reinforcement cover of three to four centimeters. As a result, CPC-plates are up to four times thinner, significantly lighter and yet just as resilient. As a result of prestressing, they also remain crack-free even under working load.
