The history of Schwalbe tires began in 1973, and up to that point, bicycle tires were hardly a quality product. Ralf Bohle, the founder of Schwalbe, wanted to change that. He specialized exclusively in bicycle tires. Since then, Schwalbe has stood for numerous innovations, such as the Marathon series, the new development of balloon tire equipment, the invention of the Flat-less® tire, the development of tubeless technology and various other products.
