Baden-Württemberg's Minister President Winfried Kretschmann, Minister of Construction Nicole Razavi and Minister of Economics Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut invited. The event will focus on a review of the successes of the strategy dialogue so far and a future-oriented outlook on housing and construction in Baden-Württemberg.

A particular highlight this year is the joint presentation with Drees & Sommer and Madaster on the status of our project “Building material cadastre as a basis for inventory analysis in Baden-Württemberg.”

With the innovative digital tool Urban Mining Screener (UMS), valuable information about the materials used in buildings is obtained based on less data such as year of construction and building type — not just for individual objects, but for entire cities and regions. The aim of the project is to create a comprehensive building materials register for Baden-Württemberg. This makes it visible which building materials are used in our buildings and what amounts of gray energy are bound up.

This data is essential for developing targeted recycling strategies, setting up secondary raw material centers and sustainably strengthening regional value chains. The project thus makes an important contribution to resource conservation and circular economy in the construction sector. We are pleased to be part of this pioneering project and, together with partners, to lay the basis for more sustainable construction in Baden-Württemberg.
