With its innovative EcoBase® backing technology, Tarkett showcases a practical approach to circular economy principles. The carpet tiles contain up to 91% recycled and biobased materials and are designed for take-back and recycling at the end of their service life. The EcoBase® backing is defined as a technical nutrient and can be recycled within Tarkett’s closed-loop system to create new backing material without loss of quality. The result is a Cradle to Cradle Certified® Gold product that meets advanced C2C requirements for material health, material reutilization, and environmental performance.
A particular highlight is the DESSO AirMaster® carpet collection, which has received the Gold Plus label from the German Society for Environmental and Indoor Analysis (GUI). Compared to smooth flooring surfaces, it offers up to eight times greater effectiveness in capturing fine dust particles, contributing to improved indoor air quality.
