GEZE is an internationally active family-owned company based in Stuttgart, Germany, that develops and manufactures door, window, and safety technology. Automatic sliding and revolving doors are also part of its portfolio and have been assessed through an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), enabling their direct integration into building sustainability assessments.
The doors consist primarily of glass and aluminum, both of which can be returned to existing recycling streams at the end of their service life. Manufacturing is powered by renewable electricity, including 100% hydropower from Scandinavia and a photovoltaic system at the company's Leonberg site near Stuttgart.
From a life cycle perspective, the system is designed to enable disassembly and reuse. This supports concepts such as reuse, Design for Disassembly, and flexible building use strategies. The reference service life is 10 years. Through maintenance and servicing, the actual service life may exceed this period in individual cases.
