Since 1954, Liebherr has been developing innovative refrigeration and freezing technologies. The FNXa 522i freezer, equipped with the patented BluRoX technology, continues this pioneering legacy. Inspired by volcanic rock and a bold vision, Liebherr completely reimagined freezer technology from the ground up.The FNXa 522i with BluRoX technology is the first large household appliance designed according to Cradle to Cradle® principles. Developing this freezer required a fundamental rethink of conventional freezing technology. The process took more than ten years and represents an important milestone on the path toward a circular economy.
Liebherr views this achievement as a step toward a future in which kitchen appliances are designed for closed material loops, long-term use, reuse, and high-value recycling. The goal is to move away from a linear model and toward a system that supports stronger circular material flows.
