Sempergreen

Vertical greening as a system solution for buildings and cities, Cradle to Cradle Certified®.
SemperGreenwall System

Sempergreen, based in the Netherlands, develops and implements greening solutions for building facades and urban spaces. The company specializes in vertical greening systems and supports projects throughout the entire process, from design and plant selection to installation and long-term maintenance.

The SemperGreenwall is a modular greening system for indoor and outdoor applications. It is based on pre-cultivated elements (Flexipanels) that can be integrated into facades as flexible modules, providing an instant green effect with high plant coverage upon installation. The individual modules consist of a membrane backing, a specially developed substrate structure, and integrated irrigation solutions. This combination supports permanently stable plant development while enabling systematic integration into various building types.

The system can be customized for specific projects, taking into account factors such as location, climate, orientation, and use. This allows office buildings, logistics properties, and public facilities to be equipped with green facade solutions that are both functional and scalable.

Benefits

  • Modular System Design: Individual elements can be exchanged and adapted without interfering with the overall system, supporting flexible development throughout its lifespan.
  • Durable System Structure: The combination of substrate, membrane, and integrated irrigation is designed for long-term use, reducing the need for replacement and new procurement.
  • Environmental and social value: Living walls improve air quality, reduce heat stress, enhance biodiversity, and contribute to healthier urban environments.
  • Application in Circular Building Concepts: The system can be integrated into planning approaches that consider buildings within the context of neighborhoods and urban ecosystems. Plants are integrated as an active component of the system into the building's function.
