WBG Pooling provides a system for the provision and return of reusable transport packaging across Europe. The concept aims to support resource efficiency, circularity, and material health within food supply chains. The system is based on reusable solutions and includes organized return processes within the pooling network. These measures can provide a basis for reducing material consumption and packaging waste; however, the specific environmental impact depends on the respective conditions of use.
The Logistic Pallet Light Blue and the Foldable Crate are both certified Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bronze (Full Scope) and have additionally achieved Cradle to Cradle Certified® Material Health and Product Circularity at the Silver level.
The materials used are suitable for food-contact applications and comply with the requirements assessed during the certification process. As part of the Cradle to Cradle Certified® program, the materials were evaluated with regard to their chemical composition and approved for certification.
Both products are designed for reuse and a long service life. Within the WBG Pooling reusable packaging system, reuse, repair, and ultimately the transfer of boxes to recycling streams are enabled.
