The WIK Group develops and manufactures household appliances as an OEM for various brands. At the same time, the company is committed to systematically embedding circularity into its product development and production processes.
Together with EPEA, the prerequisites for Cradle to Cradle were examined and optimized at the three production sites in Shenzhen, Batam, and Prilep. The focus was on all requirements of the Cradle to Cradle Certified® Version 4.0 and 4.1 standards that can be assessed at the production facility level, independent of a specific product.
The results were documented in site-specific Cradle to Cradle scorecards by EPEA. All three production sites achieved a Gold-level C2C Readiness. In the General Requirements category, the Platinum level was achieved in each case. The scorecards are valid from January 1, 2025, to January 1, 2028.
This provides the WIK Group with a transparent foundation to clearly demonstrate the quality of its production sites and to purposefully prepare for product-related Cradle to Cradle assessments.
