Pilot funding program in Munich

26 March 2026

The City of Munich has launched a new pilot funding program. As part of the “Circular Building” program, selected circular projects are financially supported.

The aim is to provide targeted support for circular projects, to identify challenges in implementing circular construction methods and to develop suitable approaches for future financial incentives. The program is deliberately open and enables a variety of different project types as well as innovative solutions.

What is being funded?
Funding is provided for construction projects that:

  • pursue a circular approach (e.g. through sustainable choice of materials, modular construction methods)
  • have not yet commissioned the construction services
  • are investment. Examples of investment projects include: conversions (e.g. from office to residential), comprehensive renovations, new buildings or extensions of existing buildings.
