The Dematic Multishuttle® 2 has become the first shuttle-based automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS) to achieve Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bronze certification. The Cradle to Cradle certification assesses criteria such as material health, circularity, and renewable energy use. The certification specifically applies to the Dematic Multishuttle® 2 manufactured at the company’s plant in Stříbro, Czech Republic. The system enables the fast and scalable movement of totes, cartons, and trays throughout the warehouse, from goods receipt to shipping. It integrates seamlessly with intelligent control systems and can be scaled alongside growing operational requirements. Since its market launch in 2006, the technology has made a significant contribution to the implementation of Industry 4.0 concepts in logistics and has become an integral part of Dematic’s automation portfolio.
